چکیده
Control interfaces provide the most tangible connection between human users and computer software. This link is especially important in interactive real-time applications, like games and simulations, because users desire efficient controls that allow them to maximize their interactivity and immersion with the software. Traditionally, interfaces have been largely limited to keyboards and mice. Recently, however, technological advances have made motion-sensitive devices not only available to mainstream consumers but have also lifted restrictions limiting devices to two-dimensional motion. This work presents a 3-dimensional motion-sensitive interface alongside a natural application. Players can control a soaring red-tailed hawk and perform various intuitive flight maneuvers using two Nintendo Wii Remotes (Wiimotes). 2 Figure 1: Player Flying Alongside an AI Hawk

Wireless Equipment for Localization Using an Unmanned Mini - Helicopter - Based Airborne
It is fully functional and highly portable mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system, HAWK, for conducting aerial localization. HAWK is a programmable mini helicopter—Draganflyer X6—armed with a wireless sniffer—Nokia N900. We developed custom PI-Control laws to implement a robust waypoint algorithm for the mini helicopter to fly a planned route. A Moore space filling curve is designed as a fli...
متن کاملModernized Control Laws for UH-60 BLACK HAWK Optimization and Flight-Test Results
Modernized control laws were developed to provide an attitude-command/attitude-hold response type for the UH-60 BLACK HAWK helicopter and thereby afford improved handling qualities for near-Earth operation in night and poor weather. The inner-loop system modernized control laws were implemented using the 10% authority stability augmentation system actuators and was evaluated in an EH-60L helico...
متن کاملInteractive viewing of 3D terrain models using VRML
Many applications, including 3D Geographic Information Systems and flight simulation, rely on 3D terrain models. A system that supports these applications should ideally provide real-time interactive rendering of section of a large set of terrain data that may be accessed remotely using a client/server system. We present a Web-based system for interactive 3D terrain rendering using Virtual Real...
متن کاملVirtual Flythrough over a Voxel-Based Terrain
A voxel-based terrain visualization system is presented with real-time performance on general-purpose graphics multiprocessor workstations. Ray casting of antialiased 3D volume terrain and subvoxel sampling in true 3D space produce high quality images. Based on this rendering algorithm, an interactive flythrough system for mission planning and flight simulation has been developed on an SGI Powe...
متن کاملMathmatical and Machine Learning Simulations Supporting the User Interface Theory of Perception
This paper demonstrates by simulations, applied to the hawk dove game, evidence which favors the interface theory of perception. Multiple simulation built around the basic evolutionary hawk dove game, and asexual genetic/simulated annealing experiment upon the hawk dove game. The experiments and data are explained in the context of how the corroborate the interface theory of perception. Backgro...
